Cat and Dog Photo Contest

Now this is exciting! We know every cat and dog is cute and adorable; so here’s your chance to share your cute pet pics with the entire Waterloo Region, right on the pages of the first print issue of LocalPaws Magazine – as well as right here, on our website!

You’re just a few steps away from your submission:

Step 1 – make sure your photo meets the technical requirements; follow all contest rules
Step 2 – email your photos to us by 11:59 pm EDT, October 1, 2022 – that’s the deadline
Step 3 – follow and share our Instagram and Facebook pages

Here’s how the winning photos will be selected: Public voting will start on October 3, 2022 on this page for all photo entries.  The pet with the most likes will be the winner of the photo contest.

Please email your pet’s/pets’ photo(s) to us at localpawsmagazine@gmail.com. In your email, please include:

• your name
• mailing address
• phone number
• your pet’s/pets’ name(s) and breed (if known)

Subject line should read: “photo contest – LocalPaws”

Photo Contest Rules:

• Contest is only open to currently living dogs and cats in Waterloo Region.
• You must be the owner of photos, and the pets in the photos.
• You are not allowed to enter the photo contest for someone else, or use someone else’s pet for photo contest submission.
• Please send only non-published photos that have not won any other photo contests, and have not appeared in any other print publication previously.
• Include your full name, email address, mailing address, your pet’s name and breed, if known, for your entry to qualify.
• All photos become property of LocalPaws Magazine. We reserve the right to use all entry photos in the print issue of LocalPaws Magazine, and on our website for an indefinite period of time.
• We regret that photos cannot be returned once submitted.
• By entering the photo contest, you are giving permission to LocalPaws Magazine to send you email communications.

Photo Requirements:

• No people in the photo – cats and dogs only.
• One photo per pet – if you have multiple pets in one home, you may submit up to two individual photos or one photo of your pets together.
• Photo requirements – photos:
  • must be in focus
  • have good lighting
  • high resolution
  • clear
  • minimum 300 DPI
• Screenshots from social media are not accepted.
