Welcome to LocalPaws Magazine, a Canadian print and digital pet magazine that caters to the needs of pet owners and their furry family members. We love our animal buddies, particularly cats, dogs, and all pets with paws. As cat parents to Siyamak and Alexy, we were naturally concerned about finding the right service providers. We spent hours researching vet clinics, reading reviews, and meeting in person to ensure they were a good fit for our precious cats. Getting to know the pet service provider at a personal level was key! That’s what gave us the idea for Local- Paws – our passion project. We wanted to create a resource that provides personal-level introductions to pet service professionals. Our goal is to make it easier for you to find the right fit for your furry family members.
In each issue of LocalPaws, you’ll find the inside scoop on some of the finest pet service businesses and pet-loving professionals. Plus, you’ll get valuable tips and insights from pet service professionals, stories from pet owners, great deals and specials, and opportunities for the whole family (including your furry family members) to get involved. Siyamak
Siyamak is a playful and sociable Persian cat. He is a professional cuddler - he climbs off your left shoulder, headbutts you under your chin, and purrs for as long as you are holding him. His favorite hobby is watching squirrels chasing each other in the backyard.

Alexy
Alexy is a calm and quiet Persian-Himalayan cat. You see her sleeping on the dining chairs or sofa most times during the day. When she is awake, her go-to spot is her cat tree by the window in our living room. She loves watching the birds sitting on the trees and saying hi to the neighborhood dogs passing by.
