Caitlyn Costa is the founder and lead artist behind Made for Milo, a Canadian custom pet portrait company that has grown from a small creative idea into a globally recognized brand. Since launching in 2018, the company has created more than 25,000 custom pet portraits for families around the world — each one rooted in emotion, memory, and meaning.
With a formal background in visual arts and design, Caitlyn built Made for Milo on strong artistic foundations. Her education in fine art, with a focus on composition and colour theory, continues to guide every portrait she creates. She later completed a Post Degree Diploma in Public Relations and Communications at Western University, blending artistic training with thoughtful brand storytelling and intentional client experience. That unique combination shapes not only the artwork itself, but the way each family is cared for throughout the process.
Made for Milo was founded with a simple yet powerful purpose: to honour beloved pets through artwork designed to live beautifully within the home. Caitlyn envisioned portraits that feel refined, deeply personal, and worthy of permanent display. Each piece is hand-illustrated in either acrylic or watercolor style, with careful attention to expression, subtle detail, and the unique personality of every animal.
